Just a little something.

Wow I haven’t been on here in awhile. Been so busy working paying off my student loans that I haven’t really done much work on my portfolio but I did do a little something this afternoon.

I hope to finish it by tonight or maybe next week at the latest it’s been pretty hectic trying to work, balance a social life and ontop of that work on your creative projects that just seem to pile up on the side. I guess it’s a sign to start working harder. I’m going to keep updating hopefully everything will be fine.

2nd Industry Night

Wow it’s hard to believe it but i’ve been graduated from BCIT for half a year now. Haha! Saw their demo reels today they weren’t too bad there were some impressive ones. Haha I can’t believe that it took me two hours to go around twenty people and give them my passing remarks there were mostly constructive criticisms. Wow I just realized that I haven’t touched my 3D programs in awhile…well I guess back to the drawing board!

Need to find a job…oh boy this is gonna be interesting.

busy busy

Got all my marks from Capilano an A, B+ and two B’s. Wow still can’t believe that i’m done with my schooling for now still looking for work but I think it’s time to be less choosy about it. So probably going to go into retail or something until I pay off my student loans and upgrade my skills.

Thinking about pursuing my Masters but I know with this kind of economy and with no income makes it hard besides it’ll be hard to get in but now that I think of it plenty of people have gotten their Masters pass their 30′s. So why am I in such a rush? Ah well time to hit the books again…even though real life is getting hectic.

Phew…

So far my marks for my summer classes are looking good. Ah looks like i’m getting a B average in my art courses it was the same way at BCIT. Need to work harder in order to get hired such is the way of the life of an artist. Well I hope to get more inspiration soon and work more on my portfolio but I need the money to pay for that as well as the student loans. So while i’m looking for a job i’m going to be taking care of the house since I miss my family very much due to my tough yet wonderful time at BCIT.

Life drawing portoflio.

I have more that I cleaned up. But honestly for someone who’s never done it before…I need so much more work.

First week

First week of school is brutal getting up everyday at 6am to get to school by 9am and finishing around 3:30pm. Nuts but I like it so far. Life drawing is a fun and challenging course for me but i’m looking forward to the better portfolio i’ll have by the end of this.

Saw Toy Story 3 today. Not gonna lie that moved me to tears. Best movie i’ve seen since UP really.

Looking forward to all the other animation movies coming out in the next year.

New update

So I have applied to go to summer school at Capilano University and i’m going to squeeze in some extra training while i’m at it.  So i’m laying off the job search for awhile to work on my portfolio and skills.

On a side note this guy is amazing and I swear I have two idols now.

Career Workshops

I recommend people to go to these workshops. It’s real easy to create a new resume and cover letter in just several hours also it’s real easy to edit. So that’s what i’ve been doing for the last two weeks so now i’m good to send out those resumes and cover letters but I still feel I need work on my skills. So now i’m comptemplating if I should take the Capilano Summer Course.

On a totally unrelated note this guy officially become my hero.
